APAC Data Privacy Principles 1.0

1. DATA PRIVACY PRINCIPLES

APAC is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information about its employees, customers, business partners and other identifiable individuals. This policy letter sets forth the general principles that underlie APAC Infrastructure specific practices for collecting, using, disclosing, storing and accessing, transferring or otherwise processing personal information.
The general principles are as follows.

1.1 Fairness

APAC Infrastructure will collect and process personal information fairly and lawfully

1.2 Purpose

APAC Infrastructure will collect only personal information that is relevant to and necessary for a particular purpose(s) and process personal information in a manner that is not incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it is collected.

1.3 Accuracy

APAC Infrastructure will keep personal information accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the purpose for which it is processed.

1.4 Disclosure

APAC Infrastructure will make personal information available inside or outside APAC Infrastructure only in appropriate circumstances.

1.5 Security

APAC Infrastructure will implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal information and instruct third parties processing personal information on behalf of APAC Infrastructure, if any, to process it only in a manner that is consistent with processing it on APAC Infrastructure behalf, and to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard the personal information.

1.6 Access

APAC Infrastructure will provide individuals with appropriate access to personal information about them.
